The Trevor Morse Memorial Fund

This Memorial fund was set up in the memory of Trevor Morse in the wake of the tragic events of Monday 9th March 2009 when on the last day of the season, the Warwickshire Hunt was deprived of one of its truest and most loyal supporters. Many will have heard or read by now that following an incident involving a gyrocopter at Long Marston airfield, one man has now been charged with manslaughter and is awaiting trial.

The joint masters of the Warwickshire Hunt and the Morse family would like to gratefully acknowledge and thank the hundreds of people and organisations who generously donated to Trevor’s fund. Incredible support has been received throughout the country, both from those who knew Trevor well and also from those who knew the sort of man he was. We are exceedingly grateful for the support provided to us by the countryside community.

Your extremely generous donations have raised over £20,000. It has been agreed with the Morse family that these proceeds will be split equally between the expenses of the family and a project that will serve as a fitting reminder to Trevor.

Trevor’s family are long term residents of the village of Admington, Warwickshire. A hunt covert will be created there in his honour. This covert will be planted up in the spring of 2010 on a parcel of land near to Admington Hall, which has been very kindly donated in perpetual trust. The appeal remains open for the time being and further donations will help fund the creation and ongoing maintenance of Trevor’s memorial.

People who wish to make a donation should make cheques out to the Trevor Morse Memorial Fund, and send to Warwickshire Hunt, c/o Broughton Grange, Wykham Lane, Broughton Banbury OX15 5DS.
