Warwickshire Hunt Supporters Club

Founded in 1956, the Warwickshire Hunt Supporters' Club is the focus for all the hunting community in Warwickshire.  Thanks to the wonderful support from its members, the WHSC is able to provide essential funds to support the Hunt, through raising money whilst having fun!

To support hunting in Warwickshire and keep up-to-date with all that is going on through our twice-yearly newsletter, please join the Supporters' Club - membership if £12 for a family and £8 for one person.  A membership application form is available from Mrs Zoe Digweed info@stratfordracecourse.net

A huge variety of events take place – coffee mornings, raffles, suppers, discos, pig roasts, breakfasts, mock hunts, quiz nights, outings, cricket matches, Honington Horse & Pony Show in July, and the Open Day and Terrier Show at the Kennels on the first Sunday in August each year.  This year the spring sponsored ride made a donation of £1800 to Macmillan Cancer Relief (Warwickshire Appeal).  At the Warwickshire Point-to-Point in May, the WHSC ran the public bar, the profit from which was a significant part of the funds given to the Hunt from the Point-to-Point.  A donation of £2000 was made to the Campaign for Hunting.

During the 2002-2003 season, the Supporters' Club provided funds for the purchase of a new knacker wagon, video camera, ATV bike and trailer, two double bridles, and a winch, as well as a fridge and two woodburning stoves for  kennel staff houses.

The WHSC runs a 200 Club – your chance to win some cash and raise funds for the Supporters' Club and local charities - £350 went to Shipston Nursing Home Carers  this year.  Membership is £20 from Alix Speir alix.speir@btinternet.com
